We have had many attorneys, contract attorneys, paralegals, law clerks and interns work for our firm, and they have gone on to do some amazing things with their careers, both in the legal field and outside the legal field. We are always looking for honest, intelligent, candidates with a stong individual work ethic matched with a collaborative, team spirit. Often our attorneys, contract attorneys, paralegals, law clerks and interns have significant disciplined training in their backgrounds either from participation in athletics or the pursuit of the arts. We maintain a collegial environment while delivering the high-performance required for a law practice serving clients faced with mission critical transactions or litigation.
We also have an active internship program. Typically during the school year, we have 1-2 interns during the fall and spring semesters and we have 1-5 interns during summer.
Currently we are looking for the following positions:
Experienced Legal Administrative Assistant (PT, El Segundo)
Specific benchmarks include:
- Accurately and efficiently maintaining electronic and manual calendar;
- Accurately and efficiently scan/name documents and load into the Document Management System with proper database codes;
- Accurately and efficiently file documents into the client hard files
- Accurately and efficiently file documents with the Court
- In order to be successful, must (1) already be familiar with Cal. CCP regarding law and motion and discovery deadlines; (2) have prior successful experience with TimeMatters and HotDocs and (3) have very strong computer/software skills particularly with WORD formatting.
Associate Attorney (FT or Contract, El Segundo)
3rd-4th year with successful litigation experience in employment and real estate matters. Expectations:
- Able to understand rapidly understand facts of case and apply law
- Professional maturity and demeanor (self-starter, takes ownership, responsible, accountable, pro-active)
- Able to efficiently conduct litigation, to ready cases for mediation and civil trial or arbitration
- Effectively and efficiently manage a load of cases in varying stages, including pre-litigation, mediation and trial
- Can generate "filing ready work product" for review by senior attorneys every time
- Must have have prior successful experience with TimeMatters and HotDocs and have very strong computer/software skills.
