62 Year Old Former Market Representative Files Age Discrimination Lawsuit Against Cambria Company LLC (“Cambria”) and its California President, John Brekke:  Suit Highlights Age Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, Sex Discrimination, Failure to Prevent Discrimination, Wrongful Termination and Unfair Competition.

EL SEGUNDO, CA (November 29, 2017)— Jennifer Orazio, a 62-year-old former Market Representative, filed suit this month in San Francisco Superior Court against Cambria Company LLC ( (“Cambria”), a producer of engineered quartz surfaces.  Per the Company’s website, Cambria has “over 2,000 employees across North America” and is the “premier source for the most expansive quartz palette in the world.”  The suit accuses defendant of age discrimination, sexual harassment, sex discrimination, failure to prevent discrimination, wrongful termination and unfair competition.

According to the suit, Jennifer’s supervisor, John Brekke, subjected Jennifer to “unwanted touching, unwanted kissing and squeezing of her behind, and inappropriate comments.”  The Complaint further alleges a separate incident where Brekke, “approached Jennifer on the dance floor while intoxicated and grabbed her.  Jennifer had no choice but to leave the event”.  Cambria terminated Orazio because allegedly “staff in the distribution center complained not meet his sales goals” and that the Company was “getting rid of the builder representative position.”  The Complaint goes on to allege that in fact Jennifer “was terminated along with two other Cambria employees in Northern California and five in Southern California, who were all above the age of forty and replaced by younger employees in their 20s.”  The lawsuit seeks damages for lost wages, benefits and career opportunities, special damages, punitive damages, and attorneys’ fees and costs. “We’ve received numerous calls from ex-Cambria employees and have already filed two lawsuits against the Company, including this one.  We’re pleased to see that sexual harassment in the workplace is getting visibility in the national news.  We’re eager to commence discovery to determine whether Cambria’s stated reasons for terminating Jennifer are legitimate and non-discriminatory or really just a pretext and attempted cover up for wrongful and unlawful conduct ” says Chris Adishian.
