CCPA NOTICE

Introduction

Adishian Law Group P.C. (“ALG”, “we”, “us”, and “our”) takes your privacy seriously. The purpose of this Notice is to explain how our firm handles the financial and other nonpublic information provided to is and received by us, and the ways we protect our client’s privacy. This California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA’) Privacy Notice (“Notice”) describes how ALG may collect, use, and share Personal Information about California residents. This Notice reflects our compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA’).  For additional Information, please review our Privacy Policy Notice. 

Capitalized terms used in this Notice that are not otherwise defined herein have the same meaning as defined by the CCPA.

Scope

This Notice only applies to you if you are a California resident. This Notice applies to personal information that we collect as a Business but does not apply to Personal Information excluded from the scope of the CCPA. By accessing our website and/or submitting your information to us you understand and consent to our collection and use of your personal information as described herein. Should ALG’s stated use of your information as outlined within this Notice change or should ALG begin to use your information in a manner which is not outlined in this Notice, we will notify you. 

Types of Nonpublic Information We Collect

We may collect Personal Information about you when you provide it to us, we observe it from your actions, you authorize us to obtain it from third parties, or we obtain it from a publicly available source. For example, we collect information that your provide to us when you use our website, submit information to us through contract forms, attend our marketing events and webinars, when you choose to receive news, updates, and alerts from us, visit our offices, retain us for services, apply for a job within ALG, or related to your employment with ALG. In most cases, you will know when we collect personal information from you as you will actively provide it to us for a known or stated purpose. 

We may collect the following categories of Personal Information from you: your name, job title and organizational affiliation; contact information including home or work address, email address, telephone number; information contained on your government-issued or other identification; username or passwords for our website, or the information we automatically collect through cookies and similar technologies that we use, as described in the Adishian Law Group, P.C. Privacy Policy found on our website including, but not limited to, information about your computer or mobile device, browser type, screen resolution, IP address, websites your device has visited, and location information; age, race, color, ancestry, national origin, citizenship, religion or creed, marital status, medical conditions, physical or mental disability, sex (including gender, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy or childbirth and related medical conditions), sexual orientation, veteran or military status, genetic information; internet activity or network activity related to your use of our website; information generated by your visiting our website; your marketing communication preferences; your preferences concerning our emails, including, but not limited to marketing emails; information generated by your receiving, opening or taking action on any email we send to you; participation in our events; financial institution account or credit card information; insurance policy information; health related and healthcare information; information related to billing and payment history; keycard access information generated when you use a keycard issued to you by ALG; professional or employment-related information; education history; curriculum vitae, employment history, professional memberships; video or audio recordings of depositions, recordings of conversations with you made with your consent, and any security camera recordings of your activity in our offices.

You may also provide us with other categories of Personal Information that we may collect.

How We May Use Personal Information

We use Personal Information as permitted by law. We may use Personal Information collected about you for Business Purposes, such as: performing and delivering legal services; to facilitate your use of our website and improve its performance; registering and providing you with access to in-person and virtual events we host and participate in; fee collection; communicating with you for marketing purposes; considering you for employment; recruiting and employing you; providing you with post-employment information; and to meet legal and regulatory obligations.  Our use of Personal Information may also include purposes that you are apprised of at the time of collection.

How We Share Personal Information

Personal Information we collect may be shared with our service providers that assist us in providing legal services, including, but not limited to, marketing service providers, cybersecurity vendors, electronic discovery vendors, experts, lawyers, accountants, insurers, financial institutions and advisors, consultants, marketing partners, event partners, and employment and employment benefits consultants.  We may share your information with our service providers solely for them to fulfill their obligations to us and on our behalf. Our service providers are not permitted to share, sell or otherwise use your information outside of their relationship with us.

Your Personal Information may be shared with law enforcement, the judicial system, and other similar parties to the extent necessary to provide our services, or as required by law.

You may also authorize us to share Personal Information with third parties.

We do not Sell your Personal Information.

Right to Know

As a California resident, you can request that we provide you with the categories of Personal Information we have collected from you, the sources from which we collected the information, the business purpose for collecting and/or sharing that Personal Information, and the categories of third parties with whom we have shared that Personal Information.  Please note that the CCPA limits our response to how we have collected, used and shared your Personal Information over the past twelve (12) months. Right to Deletion

The CCPA gives you the right to request that we delete Personal Information we have collected from you.  Please note that there may be certain circumstances permitted under the CCPA that we may not be able to honor your request, such as an active relationship between us pursuant to which we are providing you with services, or where we are required by law to maintain Personal Information for a set period of time. Information on how to submit a request to us is provided below.

Submitting a Request

Please submit your CCPA request by emailing info@adishianlaw.com or by calling our office number at 310-726-0888 . We will be in contact with you to verify your identity, as required under the CCPA, before any response is provided. In order to verify your identity, we will ask you to provide information that we may have already collected in order to match your identity with the Personal Information we previously obtained. We will make our best efforts to verify your identity or the identity of your agent without requesting additional information that we may not have previously collected.  If you are making a request through an authorized agent, we will verify your agent’s identity as well, and their written authorization from you to act on your behalf.  Failure to provide sufficient information to verify an identity will result in our inability to respond to a request. In order to assist us in providing a response to your request, please identify the nature of your relationship with us in your request.

Nondiscrimination

The CCPA prohibits discriminatory treatment of California residents with respect to exercising your rights under the CCPA.

We reserve the right to update this Notice from time to time and without further notice. Continued use of our services following posting of such changes constitutes your acknowledgement of such changes and your agreement to be bound by the changes. If you do not agree, you should immediately discontinue your use of our website and services.
